24x7 I don't think of you

When dawn sets and as dusk awaits
When things go wrong
When luck shows its back
When the world frowns
When others get all the crowns
I miss you.

Tears flood my eyes, run down my cheeks
and with no hands to catch, drop to the ground
The wet pillow, the salty palms
Or the stained sleeves of my white shirt
all remind me of your warm hugs
When dreams go astray
When the stupid, silly, fragile heart gets broken
When the smile gets inverted
I think of your soothing embrace.

Some Sufism

I found this school of thought interesting. Wanted to share it with you ...

There is the sun and there is the moon, there is man and woman, there is night and there is day. The colors are distinguished by their variety and so are the forms. Therefore to distinguish anything there must be its opposite; where there is no opposite we cannot distinguish. There must be health in order to distinguish illness; if there were no health and only illness then it would not have been (distinguished as) illness. ... Life is a puzzle of duality. The pairs of opposites keep us in an illusion and make us think, 'This is this, and that is that'. At the same time by throwing a greater light upon things we shall find in the end that they are quite different from what we had thought.

Seeing the nature and character of life the Sufi says that it is not very important to distinguish between two opposites. What is most important is to recognize that One which is hiding behind it all. Naturally after realizing life the Sufi climbs the ladder which leads him to unity, to the idea of unity which comes through the synthesis of life, by seeing One in all things, in all beings.

Reply, sweetie pie!

The first handshake
A la soft warm cake
Still warms my skin
With a naughty grin

Your every verse
Pensive and terse
I read and reflect
Admire and respect

Your heart to win
A chat I begin
On a midwinter night
With a face bright

Then I see you
Your soft hue
Your subtle humor
The hidden amour

Your genuine concern
I slowly learn
Sense of justice
I begin to notice

Your creativity
Skill, brevity
Your frequency
Now I see

Your views
Your cues
Attract me
Repel me

To my mirth
A secret you unearth
Making my smile
Go a mile

For two long hours
Showers of flowers
Some serious talk
Dreams we unlock

Your sandy feet
Your every tweet
I now visit everyday
Follow and survey

When you connect
You I select
Ponder for a while
Hesitant to beguile

But thoughts defy
To you they fly
Hands obey
And say “Hey!”

All I ask
For in it I bask
Is your reply
         Sweetie pie!

The Mermaid Song

You a crewman on the dock
I half human on the rock
Like the sky and the sea
you never touched me
But I have all this while
with my eyes from a mile

At night when you sing
and dance a la elvis king
At noon when you sail
with your hands on the rail
Your very whistle
makes my hair rustle

With flying hair
and skin tanned fair
With alert eyes
seasoned with spice
With nothing to conceal
my heart you steal

The starry blanket
high, vast and wet
The crisp breeze
flowing with ease
And your presence
give to life an essence

Like the soft ripple
of the ship-sea couple
Stay with me
sway with me
As the sails dance
to the wind’s romance

Though my world ends
where yours begins
Love once felt
can never melt
I am dusk you are dawn
we never meet I’m never gone

aMore and More

In the midst of the enchanting music of silence

My heart loses its balance

You give me a smile warm

And the silly it loses all its calm

All through the winter night dark

It sings like a lark

Not of the beautiful dew

But of handsome you

You make my smile brighter

And me feel lighter

You fill me with pleasure

So much that I can’t measure

Your comforting presence

Adds to my life an essence

With you I fly my best

And scale the Everest

When you smile, I shine

And get drunk with wine

Not of youth

But of sooth

When a song you whistle

My skin feels a drizzle

When a game you play

My heart goes gay

When a jog you take

All around the lake

I watch with pride

Your elegant stride

When my name you utter

My heart feels a flutter

When you speak to me

It dances with glee

Oh my prince charming

Isn’t all this alarming

That I’m filled with this mad amour

With an eternal craving for more and more?

Wildflowers falling

They bloom, I cry

For, they’ll wither and die

They make my day

And then drift away

They send me a hi

It hits me as goodbye

The tree weeps

And the wind sweeps

With tears that roll

I take a stroll

By corpses that mock

And laugh, I walk

With death in the moon

As the only boon

New flowers fall

And answer their call

New flowers fall

And give us their all

With wings I Fly

With wings I want to fly, and touch the distant sky

With you by my side, with me as your pride

I wake up in the morning, you kiss me good morning

You hold me in your arms, and shower your charms

You make me a coffee nice, along with a sandwich slice

Together we shower, for almost an hour

We then go blue, in our clothes so new

We set out in our car, to the hills not far

We lie by the stream, and watch the water gleam

We smile at each other, with hearts light as feather

We bask in the warm sunshine, and savour the velvety wine

We rest by the pine’s bark, and listen to the lovely lark

We walk along the beach, beyond the ocean’s reach

I’m glad you remember dear, that we first met here

We walk side by side, as in size grows the tide

The day gets dimmer, as the stars begin to shimmer

You caress my forehead, and put me to bed

You then fondle me, and say that you love me

You melt my heart, my brave heart

For with so much kindness, and much more fondness

You wiped away my tears, and blew away the fears

Knowing all along that today, is my last day

Oh my sweet love, my turtle dove!

With wings I fly, and bid you good-bye

For, the distant sky, is way too high
